One Pot Chicken Rice With Masala Drops

Ingredients:
Marinade:
½ kg boneless chicken
½ tsp salt
2 tbsp plain yoghurt
2-3 Ginger Masala Drops
3-4 Garlic Masala Drops

One Pot Preparation :
2 large onions finely sliced
1 heaped tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 ½ cups Long grain basmati rice washed and soaked in water for 1 hour
2 ½ cups hot water
2-3 drops of black pepper Masala Drops
Salt to taste
1 tbsp ghee
3-5 tbsp cooking oil
Salt to taste
Coriander leaves for garnish

Marinade the chicken with the ingredients mentioned for set aside for 30 minutes.
Heat 2 tbsp oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the chicken and cook for 5-6 minutes or until browned on all sides.

Take the chicken out and set it aside.
In the same pan, heat more oil and add onions.
Cook for another 2-3 minutes, until the onion, is translucent.
Stir in the Kashmiri red chilli powder and turmeric powder, and cook for 1 minute, until fragrant.
Add the uncooked rice and stir to coat with the mixture in the skillet.
Add black pepper drops at this point and then salt to taste.
Pour in the hot water and bring to a boil.
Reduce the heat to low, cover the skillet, and simmer for 18-20 minutes, or until the rice is cooked through and the liquid is absorbed.
Drizzle ghee and garnish with coriander leaves before serving.
